Cheat code unlocked – £0 deposit holidays

POV: You’ve just booked your dream holiday, and you haven’t had to pay a penny for it yet 🙏 Paying nothing up front and spreading the cost has to be one of the best money-saving hacks out there. Who’s payday? We don’t need her anymore… We’ve been unlocking a mega series of money-saving hacks, AKA cheat codes, so you can get the trip you really want with the budget you really have. Now, we’re back and better than ever with how to lock in your next holiday for £0.

Okay, ofc the holiday itself is going to cost a bit more. But good deals don’t always come along at your bank balance’s best moments, so it still pays to book ASAP when you can, and our direct debit plans help you do that. You just need to book your trip at least six months in advance to qualify for a £0 deposit, then you’ve got a whole half a year to slowly pay it off. It’ll be spread across at least three payments, with the last one due 14 weeks before you fly. Or, we’ve got a PayPal Credit option, too. If approved by PayPal, you can also pay a big fat nothing when you book, then enter a credit agreement to spread the cost over a series of instalments. And, while the £0 deposit scheme is only available if your trip has flights with TUI Airways, with PayPal Credit, the airline doesn’t matter.

So, that’s two cheat codes for the price of one – which is nothing! You’ve got to see it to believe it with these hot direct debit deals

Spain

You can’t go wrong with a Spain direct debit deal – between the mainland, Balearic and Canary Islands, you’ve got sunny picks all year round. So, whatever month you’re looking to book, six months’ away, it’ll always be summer somewhere…

Hotel Catalonia Oro Negro, Tenerife – this three-star spot is a winner for your budget, and the Canary Islands are known for being a bit kinder to your bank account. There’s a big pool, not only for swimming, but also for playing water polo, and one for kids. There are loads of loungers, the beach is nearby, and EVERY room has a private balcony or terrace.

Globales Cala Vinas, Majorca – this adults-only pick has a few pools and one’s set on a panoramic terrace overlooking the sea and Bay of Palma – another’s for VIPs only on the fifth-floor terrace. A couple of the bars stay open until midnight, or Magaluf’s nightlife is only a five-minute taxi away. Plus, the local cove here is a short walk away and is stunning for a salty swim.

Greece

When Christmas is coming and the big coat’s making its debut in sub-zero temps… That’s the perfect time to book a Greece direct debit deal. Summer’s pretty much on from May onwards here, so you can pay nothing at the time to cheer yourself up with a hot pick in the cal.

Kalithea Horizon Royal, Rhodes – sat in the hilltops, this hotel has sweeping views of the Aegean and a cute, rocky beach right below. Swim in one of the six pools here, snooze on a sunlounger with a drink from the pool bar, or snorkel in the sea. Then, you can reach Faliraki in 10 minutes or Rhodes Town in 20 if you get the bus.

Blue Lagoon Resort, Kos – if you love a swim, you’ll love this place. There are four pools to pick from, plus an aqua park with slides and a lazy river, then the beach is also over the road. You’ll be outside Kos Town, too, where you can explore ancient sites and get that all-important Greek gyros.

Turkey

Turkey’s another winner for shoulder-season escapes, so just when you think you’ve left it too late to lock in a summer hol, a direct debit deal here should be calling your name around Easter. September and October are ideal times to get away – when everyone else is preparing to put the heating back on, you can make them jel by getting your tan on along the Turquoise Coast.

Corendon Playa Kemer, Antalya area – this place is pure beachy vibes, with its pine forest backdrop, seafront spot and serious lounger set-up – the jetty extending out over the sea is prime sunset territory. Treat yourself to a drink from the swim-up bar, a treatment in the spa and the harbour’s a short walk away, too.

Babadan Apartments, Dalaman area – these apartments are made for family holidays, backed by lush countryside and boasting mountain views. You’ve got two swimming pools, and every unit has its own balcony or terrace, so you can chef up your own meals and eat al fresco. The beach is also a short walk away and you can get the bus into Marmaris.

Egypt

Pick Egypt for a summer trip if you’re all about a fly-and-flop in the sun or go for an autumn/winter escape if it’s the sightseeing for you – you can’t beat a bit of big pyramid energy. Egypt direct debit deals are a shout all year round really.

Casa Cook El Gouna, Hurghada – The brief here is so boho… the seagrass parasols, rattan furniture and neutral tones are super chic. It’s for adults only as well, so the vibes match. The beach here is a private sweep a few steps away, which means you also get those sea views from the pool. The spa’s got another pool, plus an open-air pavilion for yoga classes.

Coral Sea Water World, Sharm El Sheikh – this hotel is like one big sandcastle. It’s right next to the beach in Nabq Bay, with two huge pools, a lazy river and waterpark. Work your way up to the swim-up bar, get involved in activities like bingo and quiz nights and hop between different foodie spots, from Italian to Asian.

Mexico

If you’ve got some serious annual leave to burn and haven’t found a bucket-list-level trip worth splashing out on yet… enter, Mexico direct debit deals. November to May are great months to visit and, plot twist, the summer months get a bad rep on the Caribbean Coast, but the rain never actually lasts very long. So, lock it in now and start paying off your dream trip.

The Fives Downtown, Playa del Carmen – this place proves why infinity pools are the best. Sit back on an in-water lounger or swim up to the edge to soak up those sea views. You’ll only be four minutes’ walk to the beach here, as well as buzzing bars and restaurants – but the hotel does have its own tequila bar with 100 different types, and a stunning rooftop spot. The vibes are industrial chic in the main areas and a spa and gym add even more options to reset and relax.

Bahia Principe Grand Coba, Riviera Maya – this place is all palm trees and tropical feels, from the lake-style pools – both with swim-up bars and hot tubs – to the Palapas, AKA wooden massage huts with epic sea views. Food-wise, there’s the All Inclusive buffet, 24/7 snack bar and six à la cartes, plus another three you can use at the hotel’s sister resort, too. There are also enough bars to try a different one each week.
