Best hotels with waterparks in Turkey

Best hotels with waterparks in Turkey

This one’s for you, hardcore water babies. If a standard swim doesn’t meet your threshold for thrills, you’ll love this list of hotels in Turkey with their own waterparks. They already come kitted out with all the slides you’re looking for… We’re talking flumes, wave pools and lazy rivers. So, here’s where you can get your daily dose of water-based adrenaline on a trip to Turkey…

The Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel, Belek

Home to the Land of Legends theme park

Warning… your mind’s about to be blown. The Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel is part of the Land of Legends site – AKA the largest theme park in Turkey – and it’s definitely legendary… You get free access to Aqua Land, the onsite waterpark, thrown in with your stay. We’re talking epic space bowls, flumes and racer slides, plus a lazy river, wave shock pool, rafting rapids and a beachy lagoon-style pool. There’s a splash park with mini slides and tipping buckets for little ones, as well as a baby pool. And it’s two-for-one on thrills here, because you can also swap the slides for rollercoasters and themed rides.

The fun continues back at the resort, with a purpose-built shopping avenue lined with cafés, bars and restaurants, massive entertainment areas, and even a river running through it all – whatever you want, this place has probably got it. Daytime activities include kids’ clubs, craft workshops, sports and a gaming suite, and adults can indulge in some self-care in the Anjana Spa’s steam room, sauna, hot tub and indoor pool. When the sun sets, it’s time for light shows, parades, acrobatics and entire musical productions. With all this going on, you won’t be spending much time in your room, but they’ve gone all out with Roman-themed decor to tie the whole experience together. And if you want to explore beyond the resort, it’s only a five-minute drive to the beach, and a 12-minute drive to the centre of Belek.

Lara Barut Collection, Lara Beach

Has its own waterpark

Lara Barut Collection has five-star status, and it makes sense. They’ve thought of everything here, from the waterpark packed with curvy flumes, big drops, bowls and body slides for smaller kids to a lake-sized pool right at the heart of the hotel. It’s so big, it’s been split into different sections by bridges, bars and tropical islands, and there are two more pools just for little ones. Grown-ups get their own space too, with a super sleek spa kitted out with hot tubs, a Turkish bath, sauna and treatments. And if you prefer a more secluded soak, you can upgrade to a suite with your very own hot tub on the terrace.

Other features you’ll love are the beachfront location – you’ll be right on Lara Beach’s golden sands – and the long list of activities, like minigolf, archery, a sports court, volleyball and kids’ clubs. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, pick one of the 10 restaurants here, serving up every kind of cuisine you might crave from seafood, sushi, barbecue, Italian and Turkish, as well as a classic buffet situation. Fancy something sweet? No problem, just head to the onsite patisserie… After dinner, head to the bar for a cocktail, catch a film in the cinema or watch the live entertainment – and if your night’s just getting started, the nightclub’s all yours.

AQI Pegasos Resort, Incekum

Has its own waterpark

This pick was made for family holidays. AQI Pegasos Resort shares a strong set of facilities with its sister hotels, and in this case, more is definitely more. The waterpark’s easily its best asset, packing in 16 slides, a whole pirate ship, a castle and a mini pool for toddlers. The curvy lagoon-style pool is a more chilled swim spot, featuring jets, a little island in the middle and an unreal view of the beach. If you want to switch to the sea, the golden sand’s only a few steps away. Join a game of beach volleyball, or test your balance on the giant wipeout obstacle course.

Away from the water, you can get involved with exercise and wellbeing sessions, dance classes, tennis and loads of other games. And if you’re after some downtime, make the most of the spa while your little ones have fun in the pirate-themed kids club. Everyone’s a winner at mealtimes too, with an international buffet spread serving up all the family faves, plus bars and cafés to sort out any snacks in between. If you’re here for a week, you’ll get a free meal per person, per stay at one of the à la carte restaurants – pick from Turkish, Asian and Mediterranean. And in the evenings, you’ve got class acts like live music, DJs and dance shows to look forward to.

Royal Wings Hotel, Lara Beach

Has its own waterpark

Get ready to embrace your inner child. Royal Wings Hotel’s waterpark has nine slides, with six just for adults… You’ve got multilane racers, spiral tubes and twisty flumes, plus three outdoor pools – one being the biggest in the Lara Beach area. And the good times keep coming, thanks to an entire funfair with a ferris wheel, gondola, carousel, chair swing, trampoline and bumper cars. On top of all that, you’re right on the beach, and you’ve got classic holiday activities and sports programmes to get involved with – and spending the afternoon in the Turkish bath or having a Thai massage definitely counts, too…

This hotel might be packed with fun facilities, but the aesthetic keeps things cool and contemporary. The rooms are comfy and modern, and there are eight eateries to pick from, including six stylish à la cartes covering every cuisine from seafood to steak. If you get peckish in between meals, there are snack shacks serving up sandwiches, kebabs, cakes and ice-cream, plus bars for poolside cocktails, of course. Things stay lively well after the sun’s set, too, with bowling, a disco and a quiz on the cards, as well as regular musical performances, fire shows and acrobatics in the entertainment area.

Kirman Leodikya, Okurcalar

Has its own waterpark

Looking this fancy, it’s no surprise that this palatial pick won a Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice Award. Kirman Leodikya‘s got that royal rizz, from its turrets and onion-domed towers to the grand decor and first-class facilities. The star of the show is the pool area – it’s got a waterpark filled with corkscrew chutes, wiggly flumes and racing slides, plus a mini section for the younger kids. There’s a separate lagoon-style pool too, which backs onto lush gardens and tall palms. All this leads onto a private beach, where you can dial up the thrills with watersports like jet-skiing and banana-boat rides. Other fun things on offer include organised ball games, dance classes, kids’ clubs, then it’s a glitzy line up of cabaret shows and live performances at night.

You’ve got decisions for days when it comes to eating, too. The sprawling site packs in 11 bars and restaurants – there’s the main buffet restaurant that spices things up with Turkish, Mexican and Italian nights, as well as three more à la carte picks. And wherever you are, there’s a bar nearby, whether you’re after a poolside piña colada or a cosmo by the beach. Fancy a change of scenery? Okurcalar Town is full of Turkish charm and has a great market. Plus, you’re only a 30 minutes’ drive from Side’s ancient sites.
