Best time to go to Arpora
North Goa’s a safe bet for dodging the cold weather, with temperatures averaging above 30°C all year round. Things stay dry between November and April, with the odd shower in September, October and May. June and July are far and away the wettest months, though, despite the warm weather. If sea swimming’s your bag, you’re in luck. The waters around here are a balmy 28°C most of the time, and occasionally edge into the thirties.Passports and Visas
You must buy a visa before travelling to India. Eligible UK passport holders can apply for an e-Tourist Visa, you can apply through our visa and travel authorisation partner – Sherpa. If you’re not eligible, you’ll need to apply for a ‘Regular Paper’ visa online and need to make an appointment to visit an ‘Indian Mission/Office’ in the UK as part of the application process. These offices are located in Birmingham, Edinburgh and London. For the most up-to-date passport and visa info, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/india/entry-requirements.
Don't forget to arrange your travel money and insurance before you go.
Health and safety
You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover you while you’re away. It’s a good idea to visit your doctor a month or so before you travel for advice on vaccinations.
