Vico Equense’s views over the Bay of Naples are pretty spectacular, but they’re even better from the top of Monte Faito. First, you’ll need to make your way to neighbouring Castellammare di Stabia, which is a 15-minute train ride or drive away. Here, a cable car will whisk you to the mountain’s summit in less than 10 minutes. At 1,131 metres high, the views are 360° – reaching as far as Capri and the Amalfi Coast.
