Shop and eat your way along Playa Tamarindo’s strip
The resort itself flanks the beach and is made up of a long strip of bars, restaurants and shops that run more or less parallel to the sands. Playa Tamarindo is arguably the area’s most developed tourist spot, playing host to little beach bars, international restaurants and clothes and souvenir shops. At one end of town there’s a casino and a small shopping mall.Las Baulas National Park is set at the far edge of the Playa Tamarindo. This estuary nature reserve is packed with mangroves and is famous as a turtle-watching spot.
