Catch the ferry to Formentera

You can hop aboard a ferry from Ibiza Town to Formentera. The crossing takes around 40 minutes, and sets you down on the north coast of Ibiza’s little sister. Here, you’ll find a bevy of Caribbean-style white-sand beaches, including Playa de Ses Illetes and Playa Levante – both renowned for their cleanliness. And, you can sometimes wade through the shallows from Playa de Ses Illetes to Espalmador, another tiny island to the north of Formentera.

  • San Antonio’s a 25-minute drive from Talamanca, on the west coast of the island. It’s arguably Ibiza’s best-known town, lining up world-famous nightlife in the form of superclubs. It’s a first-rate shopping destination, too, with one-off boutiques sidling up to big-name brands and most shops staying open until 9pm or so. Stick around after dark, and you can explore the Sunset Strip in its best light – glittering with seafront cocktail bars that act as the ideal sundown viewing point.

Afterwards, you can take your pick from the glitziest of clubs, including big-name spots like Pacha, Lio and Heart. There are lower-key options, too, in the form of stylish bar-slash-pavement cafés serving imaginative cocktails and tasty seafood fare.

There are paddle-boards, kayaks and pedal boats for rent alongside massage zones.
