Spend a day at Water World
About 25 minutes’ drive from Santa Susanna is Water World. This aqua park packs in all sorts of slides, like Storm – a pitch-black tunnel chute – and X-Treme Mountain, a big dipper with steep climbs and stomach-lurching drops. It’s not just for adrenaline junkies, though – little ones have their own splash park with pint-sized pools and slides.For a meal out, make a beeline for Santa Susanna’s seafront. You’ll find plenty of restaurants along the prom and the streets leading away from it. They’re a real mixed bag, too – Italian, Asian and British eateries all put in appearances, plus there are a few traditional Spanish places dishing up tapas and seafood paella.

There’s a decent selection of bars and clubs along Bar Street – a taxi takes less than 10 minutes, or you can walk there in half an hour.
