Get bronzed at St Paul’s Bay
San Anton itself doesn’t have any beaches, but you’re not far from places that do. The huge swathe of coast that sweeps down St Paul’s Bay and into Salina Bay has a collection of hidden coves and inlets. You can reach them in 15 minutes by car.Shopping here’s limited to the essentials, so head further afield for intense retail therapy. Mdina and Valletta are great places to pick up locally crafted goods, like gold, silver and glassware sold at cheap prices. For some touristy trinkets, larger resorts such as Bugibba are heaving with gift shops.
