Set your watch by the Astronomical Clock

Mounted on the Old Town Hall, Prague’s Astronomical Clock is the oldest of its kind – that’s still working. It dates back to the 15th century, and is made up of two rings, with two hands featuring the sun and the moon. If you catch it on the hour, you’ll see the delicate figures start to move.

Its unusual shape was designed to distinguish it from the traditional Baroque architecture in the surrounding area, and it was intended to be a cultural centre. Today, it’s home to a luxury hotel, but you can still swing by to marvel at it’s one-of-a-kind interior.
