Take on the waves at Porto Pollo Beach
As the windiest point in Sardinia, Porto Pollo is the go-to place for watersports fans. The beach is divided in two by a split – one side is ideal for beginners, while the other end offers up bigger waves for the more experienced. There’s a surfing school where you can sign up for lessons, as well as plenty of space to sunbathe. Porto Pollo is a 40-minute drive from Baia Sardinia.Sardinia’s Nuragic ruins are well worth a visit for history-buffs and La Prisgiona settlement is only a 20-minute drive from Baia Sardinia. Although the site was left behind by an ancient civilisation more than 3,000 years ago, the expert guides make it really easy to imagine how people lived and worked here.
