Things To Do in Montreal

Montreal’s Old Port’s a popular spot for a riverside walk. And the area’s home to some of the city’s top attractions, so you can easily make a day of it. The Montreal Science Centre’s one of them – it’s a hit with families, thanks to its kid-friendly exhibitions. There’s even a 60-metre-high observation wheel that lines up bird’s eye views of the city. And, don’t forget to check out the clock tower at the north end of the harbour. It was built in 1922 to remember the sailors who lost their lives during the First World War.

This open-air food market in Montreal’s Little Italy is a hit with tourists and locals alike. Butchers, bakers, greengrocers, cheesemakers and fishmongers offer up their goods here year-round. The market dates all the way back to 1933, and it’s full of old-world charm. Plus, if you’re lucky, you might catch a cooking demonstration while you’re there.

This street art festival is held every year in June, along Montreal’s Saint-Laurent Boulevard. While large-scale street art can be seen here year-round, the 10-day festival celebrates it with things like pop-up workshops, live painting sessions and musical performances.
