    Morning
    Get up to the Hohe Tauern National Park, home to the Kaprun Alpine Reservoirs, where you can learn all about the power plant and how Austria looks after its environment so well. A guided tour along the wall of the reservoir comes highly recommended, and it's free if you have a summer card.

    Lunch
    Try Hilberger's in central Kaprun. It offers a lunch special from 12-6pm, so you can try some traditional food in the beautiful garden by the river.

    Afternoon
    Hire a bike from Bikeworld on Sigmund Thun Strasse in Kaprun and take to one of the cycle paths or mountain trails in the area.

    Evening
    Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday there’s a 20-minute free light and laser show on the lake. The show starts at 10pm from May to August and 9pm in September and October.
