Tuck in to tapas in Morro Jable
Nearby Morro Jable’s home to a clutch of quaint tapas bars and tavernas. Boquerones are a popular sight on the menus around these parts – they’re fresh anchovies, marinated in vinegar and topped with parsley. Daredevils should try a portion of pimientos de padron. These small green peppers usually taste pretty mild, but around 10% are as hot as it gets.The Fuerteventura Carnival takes place every February, with the major celebrations starting up in Puerto del Rosario, Corralejo and Morro Jable. Funfairs, late-night parties, parades and fireworks are the headliners.
