Shop at the hippy market in San Carlos
Es Figueral doesn’t do shops. But if you like rooting around hippie markets, there’s one held just outside San Carlos village on a Saturday. The place is packed with stalls selling clothes, handcrafted jewellery, locally-made shoes and musical instruments. It’s also open Monday evenings, when it’s all fairylights and chilled-out music.A good way to explore the countryside round here is by horseback. Join up with one of the riding schools in the area and they’ll take you on a trek through woodland paths and up onto narrow mountain trails. Some places will arrange to have a picnic dropped off at your destination, or organise stop-offs at restaurants with horse-friendly gardens.
