Windsurf on El Cabezo beach
If you walk about 20 minutes to the far-eastern tip of the resort, you’ll hit El Cabezo beach. This spot has hosted world windsurfing championships so you’re in for a good wave here. If you’re a beginner in need of lessons, there are a couple of surf centres. Or you can just relax with a cold beer at one of the beach bars and watch the action.At this red-painted beach bar you’ll find Popeye, Godzilla and Flash Gordon – just a few of the neon-coloured cocktails on offer. During the day it’s a laid-back kind of place with free books to read. At night, the jukebox does DJ duty for the hippie crowd. The crazy mural is worth checking out, as is the terrace-side view of Montana Roja.
