Explore the Roman ruins at Perge

Legend has it that Perge – a 20-minute drive from Belek – was the first port of call for St Paul as he took the gospel across the Mediterranean. But the ruins here go as far back as 1300BC. Because it’s so well preserved, it’s easy to picture life back then as you wander through the 14,000-seater amphitheatre, the Roman temple, and the public baths. Look closely and you’ll even spot the grooves in the road left by chariot wheels.
