Suncream and saltwater are in the air on Punta Prima holidays – they orbit around its Blue Flag beach and a bunch of sandside bars.
Sleepy southerner
Punta Prima’s one of the Balearic Islands' country bumpkins. It’s cut itself a chunk out of Menorca’s green-smothered tip. And it likes to keep things nice and quiet. You’ll find a little huddle of restaurants and supermarkets by a stellar beach. Plus, city slickers can drive to Mahon in 20 minutes, too.
Blonde sands
When it comes to beaches, Punta Prima struck lucky. It’s a triangular-shaped cove of white sand, matched by Vaseline-clear waters. Activity-wise, you can hire out paddleboards and kayaks. If you’re feeling adventurous, make your way over to so-called Black Lizard Island off-shore, where you can meet its small-and-scaly residents.
Off you pop
You can break up sunbathing bouts with wanders along the surrounding coastal tracks or trips to the nearby Splash Sur Menorca waterpark. A street market springs up behind the sands twice a week, too. Further afield, you’ve got Menorca’s mellow capital, Mahon, for a culture and retail therapy boost.Best time to go to Punta Prima
