First-class capital

Find out what all the fuss is about at Lefkas Town. Less than a half-hour drive away, the island's capital's teeming with chic marina-front restaurants, boutique shops and busy bars. It's also brimming with history – be sure to check out the incredible Faneromeni Monastery on the outskirts.

Coast with the most

Take advantage of the coastal setting with a little sea-inspired fun. Nidri's own pebbly shoreline offers a happy mix of watersports and sunbathing spots, while a more secluded feel can be found a 20-minute walk away at palm-lined Perigali Beach. Grab a parasol, snorkel or jet-ski for some fun in the sun.

Bridges and boats

For an adventure further afield, zoom past Lefkas Town and over the sea bridge to mainland Greece. Ancient Nicopolis is around an hour's drive north and home to 1st-century Roman ruins, including an impressive amphitheatre. Alternatively, Nidri's mini-island neighbours are a short boat trip away.
