The quaint town of Los Gigantes sits on the Spanish island of Tenerife's south-west coast. Bobbing around the Atlantic Ocean is popular in Los Gigantes, and for good reason. Sail out from the marina to try to catch sight of whales and dolphins, while cracking open a bottle of bubbly on deck. On the bigger boats, you can usually tuck in to a spot of lunch, too.
Volcanic escape
Awash with black sand and untouched scenery, Playa de Los Guios is the place to pitch up for a sunbathing session. Watersports fans are nicely set up for jet-skiing and surfing thanks to the coast's rolling waves. Playa de San Juan's the sleepier sister, where a Blue Flag flies proudly and promenade cafés are a great shout for sundowners.
