Silence is golden

Latchi, located in the Paphos Region, is the quietest corner of the island of Cyprus. Locals and visitors alike get up early here, so don't come expecting a wild party. Much more on the peaceful track, days involve strolling the marina, snacking on fish 'n' chips and hiking the nearby Akamas Peninsula.

Even with the village's little size, there's a decent dining strip one block back from Akamantos Avenue. Here you'll find everything from British classics to freshly caught calamari, with plenty of kebabs and sweets in the mix. Listen to your dinner sizzling on the grill as you gaze over Chrysochou Bay.

Outdoorsy pursuits

Akamas Peninsula beckons for days out under the sun. Hire a jet-ski or parasail from Latchi Beach to get there in style, or drive most of the way and hike the last stretch through the bush. At the mountain-top, the ancient Baths of Aphrodite are surrounded by wilderness.
