If you're a strong paddler, you can take guided sea-kayaking tours over to the Lixouri peninsula, stopping by the rust-red sands of Xi Beach. Less taxing boat trips run from Argostoli and hit up fan favourites like Shipwreck Beach – just across the strait on the north edge of Zante.
