Easygoing daytrip

If you want to take time out to explore the island, you can drive to the capital, Corfu Town, in just over an hour. Here, you'll find countless quiet cafés, upmarket shops and a picture-perfect mix of multicultural architecture. There's a generous helping of museums and art galleries too, and even two historic fortresses.
