Last-minute holidays to Rhodes are full of historic sights and cutesy villages, just like wax-white Lindos.
A trio of beaches
You’ve got three beaches to choose from in Lindos. Lindos Beach is the main player, with its sand-side tavernas and sunloungers. Then there’s St Paul’s Bay — a favourite with families and snorkellers. Some of the hotels, meanwhile, are closer to out-of-town Vlicha Beach.
Greek feasts
Lindos has no shortage of top-notch eateries. Local fishing boats heave fresh seafood straight onto the restaurant menus. That means beachfront tavernas sizzle up squid and fish, while hotels deal out evergreen classics like Greek salads, moussaka and honey baklava.
Daytrips to Rhodes Town
The Palace of the Grand Master. The Acropolis of Rhodes. The Archaeological Museum. Island capital, Rhodes Town, has historic sites coming out of its ears. It’s no surprise, then, that UNESCO has given it a big thumbs-up.
