Montego Bay and Negril
Most of our hotels set up shop in Montego Bay. They’re big, they’re bold, and they’ve all got a white-sand beach to their name. Montego Bay is also a first-rate base for white water rafting and jeep safaris. Negril is a big beach resort with a more relaxed feel, so you’ll find couples’ retreats like The Hideaway at Royalton Negril there.
Lucea, Trelawny and Runaway Bay
Sleepy Lucea wins big when it comes to beaches. It’s also got a bit of a VIP vibe — the town square starred in the Disney movie Cool Runnings and celebs have a habit of rocking up to its luxury hotels. Trelawny is another spot that lives life at a snail’s pace. Saying that, it’s also got ten beaches and a clutch of watersports centres, so there’s still plenty to do. If you’re after real castaway beaches, make tracks for the quiet coves of Runaway Bay. You won’t find much here beyond hammock-strung palms.
