Majorca’s Alcudia is a family holiday fave, which is probably down to its hotels, restaurants and Medieval old town.
Waterparks and watersports
Alcudia is home to Hidropark — a waterpark with a rainbow of slides and pools. Stay at the Hotel Saturno, and you get free entry. For something with a bit more oomph, try Aqualand. It’s the biggest waterpark in Majorca, so expect a kamikaze slide, lazy river and huge wave pool. If beach watersports are more your cuppa, head back to Alcudia and its kitesurfing and paragliding schools.
Big days out
There’s loads for families to get their teeth stuck in to around Alcudia. Sunset Ranch offers wagon rides and barbecue dinners. And Katmandu theme park stacks up virtual reality rides, splash parks and arcade games. Island capital Palma is another first-class outing for families, thanks to its aquarium and boat trips.
