What’s an eSIM?
An eSIM is the answer to all your online needs while you’re abroad, and we’ve partnered with Mozio to offer you different packages. Usually, you might have to pay your mobile network provider a daily charge to access data in the country you’re visiting or buy an entirely new SIM at the airport. But with an eSIM, you can download data packages directly to your phone – no new SIM, no new phone number, and you can do it all before you go.
An eSIM is an embedded SIM card, so you can activate it in your phone’s data settings – it’s super easy. See how it works below or read our

eSIM FAQs
eSIMs only work on eSIM-compatible and network-unlocked devices.
Check your phone is compatible before buying your eSIM. It’s super easy to do – you can check Mozio’s list of compatible devices or there are different guides on how to go into your phone’s settings to see if you have any restrictions for iOS and Android.
You can install and activate your eSIM when you arrive at the destination you bought your data package for.
Some eSIMs will activate as soon as you scan the QR code to install it, regardless of your location. Others will activate in your destination once they’re connected to a supported network. Either way, as soon as you’ve arrived, you can get connected – you won’t need the data until then anyway.
Most eSIMs provide data only. Services like texts (SMS) and calls aren’t possible with data-only eSIM packages, but you can make internet-based calls and messages, like on WhatsApp.
You can access as many apps and websites as you like with an eSIM, as long as there are no restrictions.
eSIM data requires a routing method that operates through a roaming platform, which sometimes can’t be accessed due to certain security settings. Some apps and websites restrict access because of proxy settings, security protocols, or location and service provider restrictions.
