The Placid Hotel Zurich offers a cozy and charming stay! Despite the room being small, its extremely comfortable, with a unique design featuring a glass shower right next to the bed, adding a modern touch. The toilet is conveniently separated from the shower area, which we appreciated. The shower faucet was a bit stiff to operate, but it wasnt a major issue.

This has to be the worst hotel we have ever experienced ! We made our reservation for our Wedding anniversary after reading reviews saying it was a great location for all that Zurich had to offer ! On arriving in Alstetten on the train from the Airport it was immediately apparent that this was not the case. A 20 minute walk from the train station along empty streets which seemed quite theatening with industrial build...

Our tour company booked this hotel. The rooms are concrete bunkers with no air conditioning. Shower lacks privacy. The big problem for older tourists is the location which is 5 km to city centre by tram. One has to learn the tram system, how to buy tickets, and key stops. Staff were very good and helpful. There are very few restaurants and supermarkets near by the hotel. Would prefer to stay in city centre near HB tr...

I absolutely LOVED our stay here .
Front desk staff were AMAZINGGGGG and super helpful, they tried their best to provide us with everything we needed .
Breakfast was perfect and the variety of foods was really good .
There were only 2 downsides, firstly room service staff did not change towels daily , secondly, the fact that the bathroom doesnt have a door is kinda weird and you will feel very cold while taking a sh...

Pros: Breakfast was served each morning and had a good variety of options. Front desk staff was friendly and very accommodating. Close to the main train line
