Very good stay at the Holiday Inn Capitol National Mall. Stayed for three nights with my wife and two kids. Great location, very convenient to the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, and the metro. Only a short (4 to 5 minute) walk from the Lenfant metro station. Took metro direct from DCA airport and back again. Very good restaurant and bar on site. A stay in the vicinity of DC? Then this is the place - just 100 meters from National Space Museum and walking distance from Capital Hall, War Memorial. This restaurant has a Starbucks and parking facility. Rooms are decent most have good views....

Awesome location close to the National Mall. 4 minute walk to the Air and Space Museum. 4 minute walk to L'Enfant plaza metro which connects to Dulles Airport. Rooms clean and adequate, has a small 'market' with some essentials like milk, some microwaveable snacks, ice creams.
A complimentary fruit bowl daily in the foyer was a very nice touch.

As a tourist, this is a decent hotel in a great spot. You are quick walk to L'Enfant Plaza for the Metro to anywhere you want to go. The Metro bus stops nearby are plentiful and if you can't find something to eat nearby (like us) it is so easy to go to the other side of the mall, either walking, bus or metro to eat in great restaurants.

Good accommodations, close to the Capital, and close the L'Enfant metro station -- which makes it 4 stops to Reagan Airport! Yep, a bit pricey. GREAT Concierge who will set you up with a getting-around-DC map! Rooftop pool was closed for the season -- that's too bad. Starbucks next door -- but the line was too long for us on Monday am. McDonald's for breakfast in the building next door offers a good breakfast. ...
