I arrived early for the 'No Labels' conference which consisted of a lot of people who did not know each other. I asked Mirian, at the desk, if she would share my info with other 'No Labels' attendees when they checked in. Mirian, and Jennifer who told over desk duty from Mirian, did so. Nice spacious room with a comfortable bed and pillows. Nice to have a bath rather than just a shower after a long day exploring the city. Plenty of storage and a coffee machine. Two bottles of water provided each day. Room was clean and the linen and towels were good quality.
10 minute walk to the White House. Nice area, we felt safe walking around in the evening....

Nice location in the heart of DC, however, shady practices with charges (I paid prior to arriving for two night) and was charged twice the amount on arrival (plus a $200+ fee for parking and misc). Room rented was meant for a family of four and somehow ended up being an ADA room (which is fine but not needed and potentially taking from someone who did) that had no coffee maker and hair under one of the cups. Great find in the middle of DC. The hotel was a bit tired but it was clean and all the staff were fantastic! The value was definitely there, especially for a business trip. I didnt get to try the restaurant but they do have one available. I recommend....

Mimi was the best bartender! Very friendly, carried on a great conversation with her..great service! Food quality was great..orderd the house bread, tomato soup and house salad with steak. Highly reccomend the bar at The Beacon. Rooms were also comfy and heard there is a big ronnovation happening soon....
