There is no doubt the location is great - central but quiet. The building is lovely. But the rooms are very small, though nicely decorated and equipped. The lobby is nice.
However, it was really disappointing when the hotel wouldn't budge to change my booking by a day - even though they admittedly had space - because it was booked with an online travel agency, which they said could only be the ones to approve the c...

We came to this hotel for a special event and I had selected it from a 5* hotel list. That was not a good move.
We had ordered a luxury room and had also purchased an upgrade to a high floor for a better view. Not a good move. The room was small and the view was zero. So I complained and we got a bigger corner room with a view.
One cannot say the hotel is bad but it is not 5*. The shower is a flexible one inside...

Service is seriously lacking. From the moment we arrived and had to negotiate the two entry steps by ourselves, laden with all our international travel gear and being obviously in our mid to upper 80s, and handicapped, carrying a cane, with no apologies from the three person desk, not apparently busy at all, until the very moment of departure, this hotel dismayed and disappointed! Right in the center of the city of Vienna, within 1 minute walking distance from the entrance to Hofburg Palace and Kohlmarkt pedestrian street, and within just a few minutes walking from all the major attractions of the city. This is my second long-ish stay at the Hotel in three months. It ticks all boxes! For starters, its location could not be better. Rooms are very comfortable and the hotel offers all the things one would expect from a 5 Star Hotel. The breakfast buffet is excellent and more than fulsome.
