central very good hotel. perfect for christmas markets.

the hotel is centrally located for both the hofburg and the cathdral and for the city hall. we visited during the christmas markets so it was perfect. all the visit by foot. we got a nice suite with some city view. the staff is friendly. very good breakfast. have valet parking. very recommended....

Fabulous hotel in the heart of Vienna! Two Christmas markets within a 10 minute walk. Easy walk to the main shopping street and St Stephen's cathedral. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Lovely, warm rooms. Nice cosy bar area with some live music....

The location is truly unbeatable, right in the city center near all the attractions. The subway station is directly next to the hotel. Excellent service and very friendly staff. You feel right at home or like a regular guest, even if its your first time here. The rooms have a classic look but are still very modern. We would love to come back!...

I have visited Vienna 6 times staying at different quality hotels, one since closed down, one perfect but too far out and one I disliked, Le Meridien.
My hotel last year, Le Meridien, great location but horrible hotel which left me with a disappointing feeling when i left Vienna thinking I'd never return.
I decided to come back and had seen the Steigenberger on a previous trip and thought I'd give the hotel a chance....

Hotel is next to Herengasse Metro Station. It is only 5 mins walk to Rathaus Christmas Market and 5-8 mins to Stephendom Christmas Markets. It is in a good location in the city centre, conveniently next to Cafe Central and behind Am Hof Christmas Market.
