Great old-school hotel-pension. The room was spacious with good storage, a fantastic shower with lots of hot water, and TV stations from many countries around the world. The breakfast spread was great and very European. This really felt like a European place and not a chain hotel. Front desk staff let us check in several hours early (room happened to be available) and let us check out an hour after normal checkout without issue. Location is an easy 15 minute walk (slight downhill) to the Hofburg Palace. Layout of hotel was a little disjointed - our room was on 1st floor (up 1 flight of stairs), Reception was on 2nd floor. For the price, it was a pretty good deal....

Very good hotel with great manager at reception who made our stay very comfortable. He even allowed as to do early check in, tganks a lot.
Brwakfast is basic, but full of choice.
Place is fantadtic, room is light and big.Everything is very close and easy to reach.
Highly recommend to all people- old, young, with family and even alone)...

Mystified About The Four Star Status... Resembles A Two Star Accommodation

The location was fine, about half a mile from the Kunstmuseen. It was about 250-300m from the Neubaugasse U-bahn entrances and less than 200m from a Billa supermarket.
There is a gym, Evo, within 100m so anyone wanting to workout can look at the option of joining for a month or maybe can email them and do a deal for a shorter period.

No way does this establishment deserve 4 stars.
My room, which was definitely not spacious, was on 1st floor looking onto flat roof (covered with pebbles) of the floor below, this was designated smoking area, couldnt see sky without being a contortionist. There was no kettle in room, 4* hotels normally have at least a kettle, very often a coffee machine. The bedding and towels very poor quality, bottom sheet stre...
