I had a three night stay in Nov 2024. It was a small single room but had everything I needed. Super clean. Its in the center of town. Lots of restaurants and attractions all in walking distance. Vienna in that area is very flat, so walking even for an older guy was easy. Its about 200 meters from the subway, that will get you everywhere. I cannot think of a better location for a hotel in Vienna for a tourist. Taxis can drop you at the door, right where the pedestrian streets start. In the heart of the old city, walking distance to a myriad of good restaurants, stores and tourist attractions. The historical building is dated? Not so much. There are plenty of positive things to say about the charming and historic Graben Hotel, starting with the very warm welcome we received from Suliman at Reception. We arrived with our car on a busy Saturday evening, and he went out of his way to make the check-in easy for us. Pros: Location is great. In city center with lots of restaurants, metro stops, supermarket close. Adjacent to main walking street. The Italian restaurant next to it served great food.
Cons: Hotel is extremely outdated. Only one elevator for 7 floors so expect to wait. The room key is a key with a plastic strip attached to it, so you have to carry that or turn into front desk and hope they arent dealing w...

Wonderful, welcoming hotel. Location wise the hotel is perfect, few minutes walk from Stephanplatz and a few minutes walk to the Spanish riding school of Vienna.
