We loved the Hotel Ala. We arrived by water taxi from the airport which was just magical and check in was quick and staff were very helpful. The hotel is very central and a short walk from St Mark's Square. We had a beautiful room overlooking the canal with gondolas passing by. Venice in the evening is breathtaking. The room was lovely and newly appointed. Lighting was great, as was storage, desk, and the bed was well-sized and comfortable. The bathroom was just lovely! Well-lit, good-sized shower with excellent water pressure. Complete flush on toilet. Plenty of mirrors and good tv. The breakfast was solid. The staff was so helpful! Only downfall was that the rooftop terrace was closed due to structural damage but outside seating area sufficed to chill out and have a drink

Wonderful hotel, lovely room overlooking small canal. We enjoyed hearing the singers on the gondolas and watching them going by. The breakfast was good and the serving staff were efficient helpful and friendly . Infact all the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location especially for the Alilaguna and line 1 vaperetto. We had a great time....

Arrived at the hotel to be greeted by very friendly staff
The room was clean and tidy and the housekeeper kept it like this throughout our stay
The reception staff are very helpful never to much trouble to help you get about Venice and the surrounding islands
Breakfast was first class everything you need to keep you going as you explore the area and the service is first class by staff who are very hard working
