Our room was filthy! Dust on all the furniture, even the headboard. Spider webs hanging down from ceiling. It also smelled of cigarette smoke. The shower handle was broken so it was a challenge just to get the temperature correct. If the city was not so crowded, we would have changed hotels....

We are a multigenerational family of 11 who booked 5 nice sized rooms at the Campiello Hotel for 3 nights. We all were impressed with the cleanliness, and location, of the hotel, just off St.Mark's Square, near the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop. The hotel is a good value, with an excellent buffet breakfast, and air conditioning. Led by Veronica at the front desk, the maid service, and breakfast staff were all friend...

Great Apartment for Family South of St. Mark's Square

This review is for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) staying two nights in Venice as part of a 2-week Europe trip. We had stayed twice previously in this area w/o kids and we needed a larger place to stay which is why the apartment option w/ the kitchenette was incredibly valuable to our situation.

Don't Do It! We stayed in the Studio apartment. It was on the ground floor - dark, cold, damp & made me sick with a terribly deep cough & cold that spoiled many of our plans. We were told the AC couldn't be turned off. (Apparently it they turn it on for the summer and don't turn it off until winter. You have no control over your own room temperature.) We immediately had to have light bulbs replaced because the room...

Enjoyable Stay in Venice

Recently stayed two nights at this very nice hotel in Venice. It was close to everything yet just off the main drag as to be quiet and in its own little square. Room was spacious with a comfortable bed. We truly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was good as well. The only minor concern is that the hotel is not staffed at night so need to be certain that the front door is locked and room is locked as well....
