My travel agency chose this hotel and instead of a hotel room, I was put in an apartment down the street in Campo Santa Maria Formosa. Probably because there were tour groups at the hotel and I was solo. The apartment was clean and modern, with the campo close to Libreria Alta Acqua, shops, and cafes. The breakfast was okay and you do have to go early because of the tour groups. I found the staff to be very pleasant ...

This hotel is amazing simply because of its location. Right at the heart of everything ( 5 min walk to the Square/doges palace - 7 min walk from boat terminal zan Zaccaria B to and from airport 10 min from Rialto bridge 10 min from opera house) we could not of asked for a more prime location within Venice. A strange hotel setup. Lobby across a small, quaint bridge over a canal but some rooms a block away back up the canal over many steps. So our room was not closeby. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean with lots of countertop/closet space. Breakfast had good choices, was hot, & excellent. Hotel is in a good location. Close to everything, but tucked back on a quiet street over the canal. Room was nice and looked like the bath was recently renovated. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast was just okay. Dining area was very small and did not have enough seating at peak times. Not very clean.
We had to leave our key at the front desk whenever we left the hotel and pick it up when we returned. Not...

Disappointed in Venice

What a supreme disappointment! Our attic room up a long narrow stairway was dingy, dark, depressing. The carpet was filthy and old, the view from the tiny window abysmal. The split king bed was stuffed into a nook and one needed to climb into it from the foot of the bed. It left me wondering where all the beautiful rooms on the hotel website were. Total bait and switch....
