good traditional hotel but no lifts

Traditional hotel. Well run, clean with full restaurant on ground floor. Staff were both friendly and helpful. Room well equipped with all essentials.
Breakfast the regular Italian continental, Coffee I recall was very strong.
only down side was np lifts. We were on the top 4th floor and it was a hike....

The 2 score is only because of the location. The overall rating here is not justified. I killed at least 3 bugs after checking in. There are no elevators, so if you are taking a long trip with heavy bags, be prepared to haul them upstairs. Then they have an absolutely absurd policy that you give them back your key whenever you leave the building. I have been to dozens of hotels across every continent and not one...

We stayed 4 nights in early September when the weather in Venice was very hot. The hotel is approximately halfway between Rialto and St Marks Square in the San Marco district, and is easy to find next to a canal and bridge. Having read the reviews we booked a larger room, which overlooked the canal, so we often had free entertainment in an afternoon when the gondolas with singers went by. The hotel does not have a li...

Stayed for 4 nights. In a city with too many tourists this hotel was friendly and helpful. My room was excellent with lovely clean linen and well appointed bathroom. Would most definitely stay here again when I return. Michelin starred restaurant next door which does superb lunch for 55 euros...

Central location which is easy to get from Rialto. Supermarket and places for breakfast all within short walk.
Reception were welcoming and friendly. We didnt eat any meals in the hotel so it was the rooms and bathroom which were important to us. These were perfect.
