Maritim hotel is an excellent hotel, as in the physical property.
but the hotel doesn't understand a single word of hospitality. They have the rudest staff who are very capable of ruining your day and at times even your holiday.
We faced this issue multiple times during our stay with this hotel. It's shocking how such a big hotel doesn't give emphasis to English speaking front office managers. It was so hard communic...

The rooms are stone cold and very dirty. The breakfasts are okay, but always so crowded, even when you come at 6 30 AM. People at the reception are positive and polite, but nothing could cover for the fact how bad the rooms and the corridors are. I wouldnt have repeated this experience and do not recommend it to anyone either....

Nice room in a great location. Very comfortable bed. Had issues with our shower because they have buttons instead of taps for the shower and we couldn't get the shower to turn on. 15 min walk to the Christmas market. Restaurants and a grocery store nearby.
Crib provided upon request. They also had a little gift (a penguin puppet) for our baby, which was really thoughtful.

An older hotel with a definite 1980's vibe with lots of wood panelling - but nothing wrong with that! We had a great four night stay. Reception friendly and welcoming, room in perfect condition with excellent housekeeping. Great buffet breakfast with plenty of choices. Excellent transport links with U Bahn 5 minutes walk away. We will definitely return when next visiting Stuttgart again....

There are days when you're just unlucky. This time it was my room in the Maritim. It was probably because the hotel was relatively fully booked due to an event. But now to the points of criticism.
