Im a big fan of Petter A. Stordalens hotels, but my experience at Clarion Hotel Sign in Stockholm was a major disappointment. The website and Hotels.com present an appealing picture, but the reality couldnt be further from the truth. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past two years. I love the design of the building, and the reception offers a very scandi-minimalistic design. The service is usually friendly, but in a cold way (as usual in Scandinavia).

Really nice hotel. Very close to the station. Literally a minute walk from the platform and you are at the hotel. The breakfast was very good. You had your usual sausages, eggs, bacon, croissants, etc. You also had Pancakes which were yummy....

Exceptionally unfriendly night personnel.
Mediocre breakfast.
There are good hotels in Stockholm, good alternatives, with good atmosphere and good breakfast, friendly staff etc. To be a bit brutal: there is absolutely no good reason to stay at Sign....
