I loved the quietness and tranquility of the surroundings and the criss-crossing of streams and aqueducts on the premises (including under the restaurant. I wish a million times over that I'd believed the bad reviews and ignored the good reviews and not splurged on a post-camino stay here. Here's why:
1. Expensive and difficult to get in and out of town - The hotel is located about 3 miles from the historic center of Santiago de Compostela. There are no Ubers here, so you have to rely on taxis. Taxis to and from the hotel cost between 10 - 15 euros. So just heading in...

Wow! This place completely exceeded our expectations. The service was outstanding in every detail - the team was so attentive. The rooms were super clean and comfortable, the bed was a cloud! but still charming - the perfect blend.
