The California Suite is Spectacular

We stayed in the California Suite at the Mark Hopkins and it was an amazing experience. The suite was spectacular with big windows overlooking Nob Hill. We could see Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. The suite included a massive great room with a comfortable sofa and seating for at least ten. Hotel exudes a timeless European charm, with its elegant decor and warm ambiance creating an inviting and luxurious experience.
The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights. Staff and service was excellent and professional....

We first arrived on Friday, 11/8/24, and I think his name was David? He said he'd been working there for 29 years. That really says something about how the place treats their employees. He was just the perfect welcome to the start of our stay. I could listen to his voice and Ric's voice all day. They are calm, classy, vibrant, and just soothing! Very disappointed in my stay. I used to stay here quite frequently and I will have to say the service has taken a sharp decline. The rooms are dated. I will look elsewhere my next stay. Also, small things like a complimentary bottle of water go a long way. Here, there is none of that. Unless you want to go to the lobby and fill your own bottle water and the lady at the front desk is less than friendly or helpful. No ...

No, just no. Do not stay here. Worst IHG experience I have ever had. Room service food was served with visible hair in the salad. Un-edible food. Room was extremely outdated, old, stale and dirty. Marks on walls, hole in bathroom ceiling, hair in the bed and on the bath tub. Will never stay here again....
