We were disappointed!!
Our immediate upon arrival, we were met with the workers on strike!
The loud banging noise outside from early hours till late night.
After reading a-lot of the reviews, i emailed the hotel, to be told it wouldnt affect our stay. As customers we should have been informed and prepared.
Hilton management should be giving the customers the courtesy of staying at another Hilton site in the Ba...

Strike, noise, junkies outside. Impossible to sleep after 7AM. No apologize or information or discount for guests. The worst place to stay actually in San Francisco. Prefer more clean and safe and quiet area as Fishermann or top hills for your stays...

Fine for a conference, but not until after the strike ends

I've stayed at this Hilton a few times for a conference. This year I knew about the strike and hated the idea of crossing the picket line, so I cancelled my reservation and stayed at a hotel a block away (for much less $!). But I still had to go to the Hilton for the actual meeting. (And a friend let me crash with her at the Hilton for a few nights, which meant I didn't have to pay, and so didn't give my money to HIl...

This hotel does not live up to my expectations for a Hilton.
As of the writing of this review, the hospitality workers' union (Local 2) was on strike, including this hotel. The people responsible for keeping the hotel running are doing a poor job.

I honestly dont have enough words to describe how utterly disappointed we were with our stay at the Hilton Union Square San Francisco.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted not by a warm welcome but by the loud, intimidating sound of ongoing strike action right outside the hotel. Around 50 people were banging metal on metal, making it impossible to think or even hear ours...
