We were shocked upon our arrival to find that we were not staying at the actual Rome Garden Hotel and however a 5 minute walk to another location called the House Garden. This is not advertised or stated anywhere on the website which is a disappointing miscommunication that definitely interrupted our stay. Very nice room, clean and tidy, maid was in twice we stayed for 4 nights, shower was a little snug, but very clean and comfortable, breakfast was good, coffee toast fruit yogurt and cakes, a good selection, hotel was just from the termini main train station in Rome, was a 35 minute walk to main sites, but with so much to see it wasn't an issue, over all a positive experience, would stay again. ...

About normal for Rome city budget hotel but there is no excuse for the poor coffee and bad mattresses!

Recently spent a few days here and unfortunately could not recommend it overall.
The location isn't the best as it is a fair walk from center and not a lot nearby worth going to. The rooms are not actually in the main hotel where reception is but about two blocks away in a strange gated compound within another tower block, the block interior is very dark and quite gloomy marble. It takes about 5 keys to get to room...

The hotel room we had was advertised as quadruple annex room. The annex was actually a completely different residential building 2 streets away with a complex 4 key entry. Our room was clean but very small and the phone to the main hotel did not work. On our 2nd night they changed our double bed to two singles that were very uncomfortable (we did not request this!). I know its at the budget end of the spectrum and its only three star BUT.
We werent in the main building but 100 yards up the road on one floor of an apartment building that the hotel has acquired. Walls are paper thin so EVERYTHING next door we were privy to ! While it was comfortable (just) and clean there was no tea or coffee making in the room we had to ask. We also had a dreadful stench of cigarettes bein...
