Luxury on Ice: When Air Conditioning Freezes Over

Booked this so-called luxury stay through a booking site, lured in by promises of air conditioning and comfort. What we got instead was a masterclass in incompetence and frostbite.
Upon entering the room, we discovered the air conditioning was locked in Cool mode with no option to heata minor issue, except its 3°C (37°F) tonight in Rome, and weve been transformed into human popsicles.

Stayed there for 4 nights. Was checked in quickly and efficiently and shown to our room. Its not a massive room but plenty for what you need for a short stay. Had a very comfy bed and good air con which was w blessing as the weather was so hot. There is complimentary tea and coffee and there is a reasonably stocked mini bar at an extra charge. Strange set up. Two buildings: one tries to be a hotel set up, while the other is more like a small block of flats. We booked a luxury suite that didn't identify as luxury. Balcony overlooked a noisy, chaotically busy road (as is the case anywhere in Rome). The view was of other buildings, the road, and road works. One of the staff on reception had the most insolent attitude I've ever come across in hospitality...

Suites are ok- nice bathroom but rooms a little sparse and werent heated (in early November). Rooms were clean. Shower gel etc and tea not replenished daily.
Breakfast was ok- could do with more veggies as was all a bit stodgy. No robes/slippers....

A lovely hotel! Our room had a julliet balcony facing the street - with a beautiful view! The room was clean, the bathroom gorgeous. The breakfast service was in an enchanting little room. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!...
