This hotel is really closer to "good" than "very good", but that's not an option on TA. However, it is an excellent value for it's location in the heart of Rome, which is why I opted for 4 stars.

We loved this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great breakfast every morning before heading out for the day. When we took our Vatican tour, we took a taxi in the morning but walked back to the hotel. We also walked to our tour of the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Vanona Square. Conveniently located. Many restaurants close....

Lovely hotel! We had a suite (404) and it was completely wonderful. Lots of room. There is also a well-stocked bar with attentive service and delightful snacks. Hotel Dei Mellini was a fabulous hotel. The staff is super friendly and professional. The breakfast is amazing and the room was comfortable. Its centrally located. We walked most of the city and never had any issues. Close to some great restaurants and gelato. If you need suggestions or transportation, the front desk is happy to help. Thank you to the whole staff for making my first overseas trip a memorable one....

My daughter and I have just returned from a 5 night stay in this hotel in a superior room. The hotel is wonderfully placed in a quiet street and in walking distance to all the major sites. All the staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, from the gentleman helping us with our luggage to the efficient and friendly staff in the breakfast room and on reception. The rooms...
