Staff were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel offered us underground car parking, breakfast was plentiful, large room, comfortable bed.
The only negative (and its a personal choice) the room was very warm, we turned the radiator off and had the window open.
I would chose this hotel again for my next Icelandic visit. ...

This was my first time at Skuggi, the location is fabulous. Service was great and the breakfast was exceptional. The room was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. I will definitely book with Skuggi again. ...

Ideally placed for central Reykjavik and Sæbraut where you can enjoy the coast walk and views of the local mountain, Sun Voyager (Sólfarið) etc. Bus stop 9 is a couple of mins (max) walk for airport bus and pick up for excursions.
This was my second stay here, this time for 4 nights. I like this venue as I consider it well placed for everything in Reykjavik and reasonably priced.

The only reason we didn't give it maximum marks was that in this day and age there wasn't any USB charging points in the room, causing us to purchase an adapter (which wasn't cheap!). Lovely food, service, brilliant shower and a garage in the basement for our hire car. Will go back again....
