My wife and I stayed at the Grand Hotel in Reykjavik for 7 nights while we vacationed in Iceland. The hotel, hotel staff and the restaurant were top notch, comfortable room, great location, and a nice daily breakfast buffet. Everyone was friendly and helpful....

Room was very quiet on the 5th floor, our view was of inside terrace with piano, all staff were really helpful and polite, plenty food to choose from at breakfast, hotel on the edge of town but loved the walk in, yards away from the sea front, would definitely recommend....

Nice fluffy pillows, soft beds, thick drapes, lovely staff, good coffe with the breakfast which was also nice. The only thing I didnt like was the 3 cource dinner I had. It was included in my gift certificate. Im sure that the food of the menu is great though. I had a very pleasant stay at Grand Hotel :)...

Big room, but smelly shower curtain

Room is big and clean, but shower curtain is smelly. The wheels with bed were unlocked, so bed is easy to move away. When we sit on the bed and lay on the wall, the bed moving forward, we got shock.
The window is facing the lobby, can not get fresh air and a bit noisy when there is people talking....

Amazing hotel with very friendly staff

We stayed in 8 different hotels during our vacation to Iceland, and greatly enjoyed staying here. My opinion may be somewhat biased based on the fact we stayed in the penthouse suite, but everything about this hotel was done with class.
