Great except for one interaction

Room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast buffet was very nice. The lobby was comfortable and spacious. Overall, we liked everything about the hotel except for one of the front desk clerks, whose communication to us regarding a $35 USD early check-in fee (to check in at 10:45am) felt like extortion....

Good location, right by bus stop 12, which is easy for pick-ups for excursions and airport transfers.
The room was clean and comfortable, and it was great to warm up in the bath after being out in the snow.
Good breakfast with plenty of options.
Beergarden was a good place to chill after a busy day.
We ate there two nights running and all meals were tasty and filling. The popcorn is also a nice touch.

This was our second stay at the hotel this time as a family of four. The hotel doesnt have any family rooms or interconnecting so not ideal but also not the end of the world.
Rooms are spotless and cozy, staff are super helpful and plenty of choice for breakfast even with picky teens.
Location suited us great right next to bus stop 12 where pick ups and drop offs were seamless for tours etc

Nice hotel, close to excursion bus stop

After spending a week in the beautiful little towns and guest houses around Iceland, it was a pleasure to walk into this hotel. A nice big lobby, lots of staff. Quick elevators. Clean. Nice sized room. Good pillows.
The number 12 Bus stop is basically beside the front door so the pickups for the airport shuttle and excursions are very convenient....

Probably one of the most hospitable hotels Ive stayed in, in years! The receptionist Maciey was the most helpful and friendliest member of staff we could have asked for. I mentioned my partner and I took this trip to Iceland for my 30th birthday upon arrival and he upgraded our room, and the day of my birthday left a tray of treats and a hand written card in our room.
