Having read some of the older reviews I was not expecting very much but I have to say my wife and I have had a great time here. Was worried that the hotel was on wrong side of the river but in fact the location is fab with a bus stop right outside. Its also a short walk to the river with a choice of bridges to cross into town. I discovered that as Im over 65 I get free public transport which is a bonus.

The reception staff were welcoming and friendly.
The room we had was very spacious and well presented. There are plenty of toiletries in the bathroom. The mattresses are quite firm. Coffee and tea in the room and extra supplies were readily available from reception.
The breakfast was plentiful and refreshed frequently.

A lovely hotel with very helpful staff, plenty of choice from the free breakfast they provide.
The lobby is beautiful and clean with a great bar with reasonable prices.
We loved the location, I prefer here where its quieter ( and considerably cheaper) with only a 10-15 min walk to the tourist spots.
Our room was a superior double which was lovely and huge, beds very comfy but decor was quite dated.

Arrived at the hotel, checked was quick we were given was room 408 this was not what I expected at all , attic room twin beds, small high window to light the room , we couldnt see out of even stretching. Im 5 ft 1 so I chose the twin bed ( wanted a double bed) on the side with the slanted roof as my husband is a lot taller . I have already banged my head a few times, thats on the first day. The hotel is in an ideal location, close to the tram system, and a wide choice of restaurants close-by.
The staff were brilliant, especially Altynbek, on reception. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were knowledgeable on all aspects of the city. I had arranged a mobility scooter and they supplied a secure location and charging area.
The rooms are spacious, clean and very quiet at night time. The A/C worked well...
