Great location for the new year.

Ideal location, perfectly positioned for the shops, river and port caves. Great service from the staff who were really friendly and helpful. The rooms weren't massive, but were comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. The option for a harder pillow would have been nice....

A beautiful hotel near the river

We stayed two nights in this lovely hotel. We had two rooms, one was perfect with all the standard amenities, however, the second room had some issues. The heating controller was not working, either we had to turn it on or off. Nothing in between. Shower head was broken. Other than that no complaints.
The location couldnt be any better, very close to the Douro river, Sao Bento station is 8 minutes walking distance....

Great overall hotel and excellent value for money. Clean rooms, great location, friendly staff and decent breakfast. Only thing which could be improved is, there were no phones in the rooms so you have to go to reception when you need something....

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel immensely.
9 nights is a long stay if they don't get it right! After a very delayed flight and late night arrival we were pleased to receive a lovely warm welcome. Unfortunately we found our room was a bit cool in temperature (a room on the ground floor, facing an inner courtyard). Thankfully we were moved promptly the next day to an upper floor, street facing room which we were rea...

The Editory House is a lovely hotel, clean modern rooms with friendly staff, its in a great location to get around Porto and near to the river, bars and restaurants. We only had the breakfast one day and although plentiful there could be more choice for hot food. Would that put me off staying again, absolutely not....
