This was the best hotel for my first trip to Paris and first solo adventure. The Hotel Senat is a very short walk from the Luxembourg Gardens (beautiful!), a convenient transportation hub for the train from the airport, metro, and local buses which I rode all over the city. Beautiful Hotel located a block from the Luxembourg Gardens and very near the Luxembourg Metro station. No need for a car when staying here...

I would stay here again, however, would want a different room. Had requested a balcony which we were told they can not guarantee, however, they offered one for two of our four nights But has someone else coming in for that room in 2 days. If they aren't guaranteed how come they were holding that room for someone else. Our room looked across at a wall ...

Visiting Paris - English Language TV a high expectation?!?

The hotel is good but deceiving in what they offer. No, I dont come to Paris to watch TV but enjoy the ability to catch up on news - English language news television. The hotel no longer has English language channels and is not taking corrective measures to change the situation. The excuse is lame and I believe it to be a conscious decision by management of the hotel....
